My name is Mike Luper, better known as SportsGuyMike. I’m originally from NY, but have found a home in Colorado. Being a former United States Marine it’s always been easy for me to have the discipline and dedication to start my own sports talk radio show. I’ve always been a fan of sports radio since I was 10 years old. In 2009 I finally took matters into my own hands & started my own show.
The SportsGuyMike Show is a fun & crazy mix of local & national sport talk. I’ve been with 2 ESPN affiliates, Yahoo Sports Radio, as well as a CBS Sports Radio affiliate in Colorado Springs. The show can be heard Weekdays on NBC Sports Radio 890 Colorado Springs & online at www.SportsGuyMike.com
I’ve recently been voted as “Best Local Talk Radio Personality” in the Colorado Springs Independent for 2014. We also won for “Best Local Radio Show”.
My favorite things in life besides talking sports for a living, is my family. My beautiful wife Janet, and my four kids, Breanna, Dominick, Joseph, & Vincent. Spending time with them is very important to me. Especially when it’s at sporting events, & their games.
My next goal is to be a household name in the world of sports. Words to live by, “Don’t Let Your Dreams, Just Be Dreams.”
